UK 2006 - Western England

I can always find another nice place in England, I would like to visit. In the spring of 2006, Karl and I decided for yet another trip and went to the Southwestern part of England. Starting in Somerset we moved through Exmoor, Dartmoor and Eastern Cornwall and ended up in cathedral cities of Exeter and Winchester.

Need I say anything? Stonehenge is marvellous!

English village idyl. Crowcombe, Somerset

Old pub at the shoreline. Porlock Weir, Exmoor

Wild and unspoiled Exmoor National park

Crossing the "border" Devon-Somerset

Oh, I love these cute English windows....

We stayed here for the night, as close to the sea as ever.

Writing postcards. Tintagel, Cornwall.

England's perhaps oldest post office?

Tintagel, legendary birthplace of King Arthur
The English village at it's best: the church, the river and the garden

Jamaica Inn, famous from Daphne de Maurier's novel

Lonely stone circle, Dartmoor

Road pub on a hillside, Dartmoor. Hound of Baskerville is around!
