Minnesota 2002

As a part of my Ph.D.-project I spent the first half of 2002 in Minnesota where I lived in the metropolis of Minneapolis-St.Paul. My house was situated near the East bank of Missisippi in Minneapolis. The winter was quite strong and the spring and summer hot and humid. It was a great period with a lot of professional input as indicated on my research pages. However, I took the opportunity to expericnce the beautiful Minnesota which in may ways resemble Denmark: 5 millions inhabitants, a lot of soft hills and lakes, much farmland and nice and friendly people. Here are first some pictures from Minneapolis, then from the countryside. My travel diary (in Danish) is available here!
